Powered by NXP's i.MX 8M Plus, the VAR-SMARC-MX8M-PLUS features a 1.8GHz Quad Cortex-A53 with 800MHz Cortex-M7 real-time co-processor, delivering integrated Artificial Intelligence (AI) / Machine Learning (ML) capabilities and an advanced Image Signal Processor (ISP). The SoM includes H.265/H.264 Full HD video encode and decode engines, advanced 2D/3D graphic acceleration, HDMI, LVDS, MIPI-DSI display support, 2x CAN-FD and dual camera inputs. Extended connectivity options include multiple USB3.0, dual Gigabit Ethernet with IEEE1588, certified dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth/BLE, PCIe, SPI and UART.
