VAR-SOM-MX8M-PLUS Changelog

1. Murata Type 2DL/2EL Wireless Module Firmware Requirement (February 2026)

Component Change Notice

NXP changed the IW611 IC fabrication source from TSMC to UMC. The Murata module MPN did not change.

SOMs with Murata Type 2DL or Type 2EL wireless modules shipped from the beginning of February 2026 require NXP firmware released after April 2025. Firmware versions released before April 2025 are not compatible with the UMC-manufactured IW611 IC.
